Nebula

Private Cloud Appliance

I was the UX Design Lead for Nebula’s Console team. Nebula—a cloud computing start up out of Mountain View, Ca.—was working to build a plug-and-play, private, cloud-computing appliance built on OpenStack.

Paper Prototypes

I often start on paper. This allows me to quickly flush out ideas and rapidly iterate on them with the core team. These examples show initial sketches for the first run (or initial set up) for the directory integration (LDAP) implementation, followed by other flows for editing projects to add groups and members, as part of the system for managing identity and permissions.

Wireframes for Directory Integration

My time at Nebula was cut short when the start up folded after I had been there about a year and a half. While there, I helped shepherd through improved directory integration designs (LDAP), virtual networks (VLAN), and external storage integration.

Wireframes for External Storage

The External Storage project allowed cloud administrators to add and configure NFS, NetApp or SolidFire storage devices to their cloud.
